Hi! I'm a NH teacher interested in working with immigrant and multilingual communities in the States. I studied romance languages, literature, and linguistics at Sarah Lawrence. When not doing homework, I can usually be found reading a book on top of a mountain.

Just noticed the above re: your interest in working with immigrant communities. Since I returned from abroad in 2010 (and before I started CELTA work) I was an ESOL teacher working with Chinese, Hispanic, and other immigrant learners in and around Boston. There's some - not enough, perhaps - language teacher training stuff out there really focused on this particular context...anyway, this: http://www.newamericanhorizons.org/ is a source of pretty some decent stuff in video form. Just thought I'd pass it along. Oh yeah, this too: http://mlots.org/index.html. Have a good weekend...
