Hi everyone! I hope this message finds you all well.
I'm back in China now, and I work for Web International English in Xi'An. It's one of the biggest companies that focus on adult ESL.

If you've never been to China, I highly recommend Xi'An as a city to go first. It used to be the capital of 13 dynasties in ancient China. AND THE FOOD HERE IS AMAZING.

Let me know if anyone is interested in visiting or trying to find a career here in Xi'An. I don't have a Facebook, but you can reach me by sending me an email. My email is: amber.yq@webi.com.cn

Again, I hope everyone is doing awesome. I am really thankful for my CELTA experience, well, now that I can look at it in a more professional way.

Take care.

During the jobs input this morning, Betty recommended a few websites for us to look at for finding work:
http://www.transitionsabroad.com/
http://www.footprintsrecruiting.com/
http://seriousteachers.com/

Thea also recommended this book: http://www.amazon.com/Teaching-English-Abroad-2015-Expert/dp/178059...

I'll cross-post this to the facebook group, too :)

Here's Google's Ngram Viewer that Amber and I were talking about yesterday. It charts word usage in text from 1800 to today.

If you're around the Philly area next Tuesday, my jazz band is playing an open rehearsal at Sam Ash Music store in King of Prussia starting at 7:15pm. It's gonna swing hard!

I recently updated my resume. I think it looks pretty good with a modern design. I used a free template for Adobe InDesign.
Mariani%20Resume.pdf

There are lots of templates for resumes for MS Word, and Adobe InDesign. Just google "modern resume template word", etc...

Ta-da.

If anyone else wants to be an admin or whatever, let me know. I don't want all of the responsibility.

www.cram.com is another great flashcard making site. I especially liked the "Jewels of Wisdom" game that makes learning the flashcards a pile of fun, even for adults :-). Example: http://www.cram.com/flashcards/games/colloquial-3-lesson-31-5684298
