I just finished my CELTA class and have lived abroad before. I am now in the process of applying to schools in Latin America. I am finding pretty good success although it is harder to find jobs in Latin America as opposed to Asia. I plan to teach for 10 months in latin America, then go to Turkey for the US state dept. Fulbright. Then I would like to teach a summer in Thailand or Indonesia. We shall see how this goes and how well CELTA prepared me.

Read my blog where I will chronicle past overseas experiences into the present and looking for teaching jobs abroad and hopefully living abroad soon.

Hi Christina! Thanks for sharing your blog with us. We look forward to hearing about your travels!
Congrats on getting your job in Chile! Can you tell me how you went about it? Did you apply directly or go through an agency, etc.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Christina, your plan sounds fantastic! I just checked your blog and it is really cute!
Thanks to you I will have a chance to read about going abroad and know ahead of time what to expect.

Good Luck!

has anyone worked for education experts in saudi arabia?
Hey
Derika,
I was recently hired through Edu-Experts for a teaching job in Saudi Arabia...they haven't sent me the contract yet, but I have heard some less than positive things about them on some forums so I'm also looking for more info on them...Let me know what you find out and I will do the same!
So I take it you are working for them now? As far as the housing goes, if you don't like their accommodations, can't you just use the housing allowance and find another place?

Do you have any recommendations or advice for someone like me in the pre-contract stage?
I would hugely appreciate any info- I can't find any reviews on them anywhere. My email is c.felder@umiami.edu if you want to contact me through there.
Thanks!
is it bad?
please email me

This is a nice article on the top 10 places to teach. I'm surprised though that Hong Kong and Cambodia (Phnom Penh) aren't in there. They're two terrific teaching locations!

Has anyone worked in Poland in recent years?

Has anyone worked in Dubia?.....I'm new to Teaching House
