I started working with a tutoring website called Wyzant.com. If you are looking for flexible work to get started in ESL or to supplement the hours you have with a school, this site is a great resource. They have postings for every major city in the US and they make sure their tutors get paid on time. They do take a percentage of your rate, so set your pricing accordingly.

I have found work in the NYC area tutoring one on one with teenagers and adults as well as short term projects with corporations looking for classroom training. Some sessions are done over skype, so there is no commute! I would highly recommend this as a way to expand your teaching experiences.
