Here are some ideas to continue your professional development after the course has finished.

Go to conferences (e.g. TESOL, IATEFL) |
Read methodology books / grammar reference books/ journals (ELTJ, ETP, etc.) |
Learn a foreign language. |
Observe and be observed (by peers, DoS, etc.) Get feedback from your students |
Keep in touch with CELTA peers on myteachinghouse.com! |
Extra qualifications: CELTYL/IHCYL IH Business English courses, Delta |
Video / audio record your teaching and / or keep a journal. |
Go to professional development sessions at your school or “webinars”. Register for a course on Cambridgeenglishteacher.org (free year available upon graduation from CELTA!) |
Follow ELT blogs, e.g. A-Z of ELT by Scott Thornbury, elt-resourceful by Rachael Roberts, Kylie Malinkowska’s blog for teaching YLs
