Obviously, you have to be very patient, persistent, and selective in hunting for a job long-distance.  There are some great jobs out there for people just off a CELTA courses, and there are also many situations where work conditions are not conducive either to professional development or even feeling comfortable.  While you can’t be too picky before you have some experience, don’t jump into anything without checking it out—try to get in touch with current or former employees who can hopefully give you a credible idea of what it’s really like to work in a given place.  If you have bad feelings about a job or school, trust your instincts.
