Thanks Lizzy ;)
Hi everyone,
Quick question. I am doing the 3rd conditional for my 1 hour grammar class this Wednesday.
Would it be correct or OK for me to teach it in the negative form, as in,
'If I hadn't done French at University, I would not have gone to France for a year abroad'.
plz help y'all :)
I only ask this as most examples of the 3rd Conditional I have seen aren't in the negative and are like this, 'If I had seen Jane, I would have invited her to the concert'.
Thanks Lizzy!
Helps a lot!
Hi Eduard,
The main purpose of the lead-in is to get the students interested in the topic, not the language. So I'd keep jobs/careers the focus of the lead-in and don't worry about what tenses you use.
Hope that helps!
Lizzy
Hi there,
I am first up on Monday's lesson, which is teaching the present continuous tense in the context of jobs/careers. I was wondering if my lead in/warm up activity at the start of the first part of the lesson had to be set in the present continuous tense, or could be made up of lots of different tenses?
Thanks,
Ed

Hey,
there may be one of these on here, but I couldn't find it.
Made a Self reflection sheet for y'all!
For the prompts, look in CELTA course handbook (pg.73).
You're very welcome ;)
