Congratulations Elaine! That's great practice. Good luck with your search.
I haven't looked so far, it looks like I'll be moving to IL in September.
Hi, all. I just started an 8 wk gig at International Teaching House at 3 Gov't Center. My class is a group of 10 Asian women, ages 40 to 60, who were laid off, some after almost 30 years working at Haemonetics when it moved to Mexico. They didn't need much English to work there but need it to get more work. It's an interesting scenario.
Meantime, I'm still look abroad. I rant up against a huge barrier in Thailand because of my age. I'm going to continue with Vietnam and also South America.
I registered for the TH conference on March 14. Anyone else? Would love to see you there.
Hi everyone! Hope you're doing well...any updates for us here in Boston?
I've produced a short survey for CELTA people & ELTers about Task Feedback in lessons: http://goo.gl/forms/fqElr5qStP If you can, please take a few minutes to respond and help inform small presentation at our upcoming mini-conference in Boston! (http://on.fb.me/1FVKR5Y)
Cheers!

You guys are almost home...good luck in your TP 9s!
The article and video about Teaching House/CELTA/your TP classes is out! A solid article, some great photos, and a video to boot! It's (somewhat surprisingly) focused on technology and the internet, etc. but hey. You're all stars! (Especially one young man named Jesse Pearlman...who'da thunkit!)
BTW - disregard the misleading title of the blog! Obviously it's nothing to do with "male survivors of sexual abuse!" ;)

Hello Folks - just a reminder: bring your textbooks in on Saturday for timetabling for TP 8 + 9! (exciting..!). You'll need to have them to look through and choose from possible lessons, etc. Thanks! :)

Not ELT, but may be of interest to locals/friends?
Hi Welcome Project friends,
Can you help me get the word out to potential candidates who may be interested in this very important part-time position at The Welcome Project. The Youth Program Coordinator oversees our youth interpreter training and leadership program (LIPS -- the Liaison Interpreters Program of Somerville) as well as other efforts to help young people achieve their aspirations. Priority will be given to candidates with bicultural/bilingual experience who also have skills working on leadership development with youth. The position is 25 hours per week with benefits.
I've attached a PDF of the job description.
The job description is also available at the Welcome Project's website:
http://www.welcomeproject.org/content/get-involved-welcome-project.
Your assistance in helping us find excellent candidates is much appreciated. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
-Warren
These 'Reward Resource Packs' are great for freer work and productive tasks, as well as any unobserved + unassessed classtime you might have (for the smaller group). The pre-int and upper-int levels are on the shelves at the center, too. Here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6s45WWdJGrcQS1IcjlHTmh0ME0...
