Sincere apologies to you, trainees, for my bad, bad modeling of responsible and professional TIMING as I have kept you late in Input Sessions several times over the course of these four weeks. It's hypocritical of me to expect you guys to finish YOUR lessons on time in a consistent and principled fashion without also doing this myself.
I also realize that you've got very, very little time to prepare for lessons and depend on every minute during the day to work on your stuff. My stealing that from you in order to deliver the input sessions I'm scheduled to give within specific time limits is wrong of me - so please accept my apologies!
A book of YL activities (expandable from 5 minutes, of course...)

Sorry, I've got one more! But this in your file to read, or, perhaps more realistically, to skim n' scan and find something that grabs you and dig into that, when and if you feel like it. Anyway, it's 'Uncovering Grammar' and it's very engagingly written, including tasks and stuff to do. You also may noticed the same author popping up: Scott Thornbury. He's great, a guy who literally wrote the book on the CELTA and is great at making things make sense for teachers.
That book is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6s45WWdJGrcSlBhSHpDYzRlNTg/view?u...
Scott's blog is great, too: http://scottthornbury.wordpress.com/index/ If you find an interesting blog post on there, don't stop there: the comment threads are often the best part, and are well-populated by the best and more turned-on minds in ELT.
Another book, one that can hardly be described as 'light reading' but is in fact far more accessible than it might at first appear, is "Conversation: From Description to Pedagogy". This one, Nina, might help get at some of those 'nooks and crannies' that seem to exist behind and/or beyond 'the grammar box'...
That's here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6s45WWdJGrcTmhiTk41SlJJZFk/view?u...
Free PDF of Richards' Teaching Listening and Speaking, from Theory to Practice.
This afternoon Nina asked about good resources for developing more overall language awareness (making this thing we're teaching, our native language, more of a 'known known'). If only the CELTA had an extra couple days and we could do more of our own language study, eh? Well, in lieu of that, here are links to a) a good read for that and b) a course on the site you'll be receiving a free year-long membership to with your TH CELTA pass letter (and enrollment in one course is free with that membership too!)
