Kid posts takedown of Korean education on YouTube (going a bit viral!):
Some things that come up when you google "what's next after CELTA"
Dan's last day on the course and getting a job:

50 Things to Do w/ Flashcards:
Happy weekend folks!
For those of you who have done a functions lesson (or those who will), what have your topics been (or what will they be)? I'm working on TP 9, which is a functions lesson, and don't want to overlap with anyone.
Thanks!! Have a great rest of your weekend!
Here's the blog/article that Spring's daughter just published for her Journalism class at Northeastern U. Sean and Rachel, you guys are background extras in the video at the bottom ;) It mostly stars the part-time trainers, unfortunately. You'll all be stars one day....;)

BTW - disregard the 'Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse' blog title...weird, I know...nothing to do with the CELTA, obviously. ;)
Here's what we've got penciled in for TP8 & 9 right now (see attached photo). I'll actually give you until Thursday afternoon to decide on the final lessons you're proposing (the source material, the type, the TL if there is any, that kind of thing) for TP 8 and 9 (especially TP 8).
So, keep an eye out and/or keep visualizing and 'preflecting' on what you've already chosen. Let me re-iterate, do be 'selfish' in terms of what lessons you think you a) want to practice and develop and b) what inspires you and (therefore) will give you the best chance of success and super-amazing-wonderful above standard TP experience (or just a super-amazing-wonderful at standard lesson). No pressure! ;) Remember, each lesson is evaluated entirely on its own merits, NOT how well it connects to others thematically.
If you've got any questions post a reply on this wall or email matthew@teachinghouse.com.
Just FYI, here's that 'message me ideas for a job' lesson on BBC Learning English (a really nice and useful site!): http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/english/course/lower-intermedi...
While I'm at it, here's a great site for CELTA review/extension. Jo is an experienced CELTA trainer in England who has experimented with a "flipped-classroom" (google that if you've never heard it) approach to training. Therefore she has produced a number of high-quality 'video input sessions' and makes them freely available for all.
Keep in mind that she is not us, we are not her. However, I've yet to find *ANY* really conflicting info between what she says and what we do. I'd highly encourage you to check out a couple of these vids when and if you get the chance - as review of an area from the 1st couple weeks you'd like to rehash...or a preview of something you see is coming up in a future input session...or something related to the type of lesson(s) you're planning coming up.

Cheers and have a great weekend! See y'all in Pre-Int! :)
PS - I particularly like her 'lesson planning sessions': for example, the video all about 'anticipating problems' is really super helpful!

Just a reminder re: your LRT assignment...
You've got the Indian Wedding model AND a really good model of a grammar analysis sheet all filled in (for 'causitive have') in your handbook. Don't not use these to guide you as you work on your LRT!
