No one else would understand so I'm posting this here:

As a follow up to Maelle's post below about 50% off food at Faneuil Hall (I got a great deal on a Chicken Pie for lunch today!) I'll add this: right behind our building there's a Bertucci's, right? Did you know they have a great 7.99 lunch special where you get unlimited fresh sourdough rolls (to die for) and salad with pasta or etc.? A great place to go with a couple/few of your CELTA peers some day you aren't teaching! Night roomy tables and fast service. Works well! Just a thought...you could even bring your CELTA stuff and keep going at it, just don't slip too much olive oil on your handouts. Here's a pic of the sign:

Sorry, I posted the wrong link just now. This one is correct: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FvIpErzQY4#t=34

When it's a (very, very, very) bad decision to give language-focused feedback explicit as immediate explicit error correction...

^ that's a special case, eh?

In our classes, in contrast, students should and need (...and WANT, remember!) to be corrected, to upgrade their speech abilitites 'in action', 'on-line'. So give it a shot!

PS - the teacher above: her *TECHNIQUE* is fantastic tho! ;)

Maelle will send you an email about tomorrow's external observation. I back it up with this here:

Attention CELTAers:

International House Boston (yes, that's not close by like previous schools mentioned...that's HERE) is looking for part-time help.

Teach general English at Elementary and/or Intermediate level. Small AM classes initially, with the possibility of more hours added afterwards including possible one-to-one tutoring-type classes (it's pretty quiet around here until the summer when it gets quite busy).

If interested, get a jump on it by showing your resume to your current TP tutor at the end of the day sometime this week for a quick check and some tips (and we'll have our Resumes & Interviews Input Session on Friday as well) in order to prep it and you for setting up an interview with Dan.

Happy MLK Day :)
