Here is a websitewith some vocabulary activities someone asked for.

Unassessed lessons are in fact lessons... not just a game. Take these opportunities to teach a real lesson and to practice. Do not just "waste time" with students...Use this time to practice skills that you need to develop.

SRT Reminder:

Please bring a few possible "texts" in on Monday for the SRT.

The "text" can be a reading or a listening, but it must be AUTHENTIC.

Authentic= real and not adapted to fit students' skill level.

You CAN shorten the text if it is too long, but you cannot adapt the content.

When choosing a text, consider two things:

1. Why will this engage the students I am currently working with? (use what you know about the students and their interests - find something that will be interesting / relevant to them.

2. Is this at the right level for them? (is it difficult enough but not too difficult)
