Good Idea Megan. I know that many people in the ESOL field use Twitter and the like for various things, so you should definitely pursue that avenue if you are into social networking.

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone else used Twitter or other social media to help connect to ESL groups? I'm following some groups and people via Twitter and have found some blogs during research that are interesting. I'm also using Twitter to keep an eye out for jobs, for CELTA and librarian jobs.

If anyone wants to trade ideas or want me to post here, let me know!

As a follow up, it does look good to many institutions if you are a member of TESOL or IATEFL; however, the membership is not cheap (there are discounts for first year teachers) and smaller schools or institutes may not care so much.

With a membership you do have access to the newsletter and other included PD options....
