- I am a veteran U.S. high school English teacher (19 years), and an experienced part-time university-level writing instructor (30 years). I will be on sabbatical, living abroad in So. Tangerang, W. Java, Indonesia, during academic year 2018-19, where I hope to gain some volunteer English language teaching experience I will be traveling there on a family/social visa, not a work visa. Completing this course is also part of my professional advancement for my school district in Maine--a state that requires an ESL coordinator in every district. I am very excited to be part of this summer's CELTA program in Boston, and look forward to expanding my teaching repertoire!
