- I've taught college part time since 1998. I just started teaching EFL overseas (Dubai, Saudi Arabia) a year ago. I have tutored international students, and have an online (Blackboard) module program designed to teach EFL students at a distance.
I hold an MFA in writing, and was a contributing editor for PBS/Frontline's Tehran Bureau, where I wrote articles and worked with foreign journalists on their articles and essays.
I have published fiction and articles in journals, anthologies, and online. I am currently working on my Ph.D. in International Education. I have been involved in social justice efforts, and have traveled twice to Iran, once with a peace delegation. I have studied culture and cultural identity, as well as comparative education and the humanities.
