I was an elementary school teacher at private schools which required no formal training. Then I was lead overseas to Korea to teach for 8 years. Living in a foreign country was difficult and I still never had the extra time or funds to get formal schooling for teaching. So I have learned to teach from scratch, the very hard way and it has felt like i was in the war for years. But still I'm not giving up. I am determined to improve my teaching. Finally now that I have returned to America and have a short break, I've decided to take the CELTA to improve my teaching before getting out there again. I love people and have a heart for students in foreign fields and enjoy connecting with them. What a great medium such as teaching English to do so! I have a lot to learn, and I am excited to get better at teaching!
