I’ve done all that was mentioned in the first assignment except finding a photo to put on the site, I’m working on that…
Future employment: I'll start by changing the world here at home, but would love to teach abroad for a while.
The job list has one offer I’m interested in for now: International House at Riverside Church. That’s the kind of place I’d prefer for the first year after getting my CELTA.
The word on the list that I had to look up was Cloze, as in Cloze exercises. I realized that I’ve done that kind of exercise in several language classes myself.
One thing I tried out that wasn’t part of the assignment: figuring out the phonetic symbols. For a while, I studied them in a book, and then I found some quizzes on BBC’s Learn a Language-English site. Each of the 5 quizzes had several questions involving the symbols, and working with them helped a lot.

Looks like you're heading out of the USA to teach! What an adventure.
Well the ESL teachers I know say that CELTA credentials are the most respected and the course is the best, so I'm in the class.
I'm staying around here and teaching for the first year after getting my CELTA, then I'll try a job outside the USA.
All year long, I'll be researching teaching opportunities abroad (especially the warm countries, when the winter comes).
