I love to read in my spare time, lots of Hemingway, Jules Verne, Tom Wolfe, Stephen King, all the great books, lots of political ones as well. I love hiking and riding my bike around new neighborhoods and along the FDR drive. I am very social and love to meet new people. I am a very creative and colorful person. My room is filled with hundreds of books and different bright colored walls as well as collected art from my travels and some of my own. The most important thing to me besides my family is to travel around the world and immerse myself in the culture and atmosphere of the city or country. You'll probably never find me staying at an expensive high rise building in the 'touristy' neighborhood of a new city I'm visiting. I'll be in a local bar where I'm the only foreigner, staying at a cheaper but authentic hotel in a residential area. I hope this helps people to get to know me a bit better as that was the point! The only other thing that defines who I am is that I may have a New York accent but I am all Irish! I have a very large (33 first cousins, 22 Aunt & uncles!) Irish family and they mostly all live in Ireland. My father was born and raised there and so were my moms parents, but she grew up in Manhattan like me. My brother, sister and I were fortunate enough to have been able to spend our summers there almost every year during our childhood. I haven't been to Ireland for about 2 years and I'm really aching to get back over there. It is by far my favorite place in the world. A smile never leaves my face when I'm there. I hope that I can eventually settle there with a husband and kids of my own. But the most exciting thing about life is that you never know where you'll end up!
