- I am a former high school English teacher who recently had the opportunity to teach writing to international students at a local university. I loved the experience for many reasons and was inspired to change my teaching path. I want to acquire a basic foundation in the philosophy of instructing English language learners and recognize the need to broaden my skills to be able to effectively address the particular challenges adult students face when learning English as a second language.
