Originally from Brazil, but in the U.S. since 1980. Am a copy editor, proofreader & English/Portuguese translator. Occasionally tutor ESL to Brazilian and other foreign-born students on a one-to-one basis. Embarking on new career path (ESL trainee, then teacher) at age 53 isn't easy, but I hope to hear from all of you who've done the same.
