After failing to make it as a movie producer in my 20s, I eventually acquired a Masters in Health Education, then moved into consultancy, until I found a vocation in Social Work – a career which lasted 15 years.
Meanwhile I raised two sons, but sadly separated from their mother. I am proud they both have degrees, and one a Masters.
I married my wife in Las Vegas in 2007. Tragically, after a standard operation, she suffocated, and spent 7 months in a vegetative state, until the High Court agreed to allow her to die in February 2018.
I then travelled to Kenya and began to question the values cherished in the North, and so am seeking opportunities to spend time working in the South (not just as a tourist).
Hence CELTA offers me an ideal opportunity also to provide people with the benefit of an international language.
