- I recently retired from a 30 year corporate job in the media industry and am excited about this next phase of my life/ career. My husband and I are avid travelers, I have always been passionate about different languages and cultures. I learned about the CELTA program from a family member who has been teaching English in Girona, Spain the past ten years. I am taking the CELTA program to teach English in Turkey and perhaps other countries as we travel the world. My husband is originally from Ankara, we plan to retire to Bodrum and Istanbul over the next two-three years. In the interim, I plan to teach here in NYC to become more proficient in being a CELTA teacher.
