Wow, the first day went like lightning...phew the group was really good and everyone here is motivated to do well. I have nothing but good things to say about my group, as they all bring with them skills and personalities that will keep the rest of us going. I like the fact we all come from different backgrounds, so the variety will only add to the journey of striving to all do our best on the CELTA journey. Day 1 was a whirlwind of new information and new people! We are diving right into understanding and creating lesson plans as well as fostering our four-week community of learners-to-be-teachers. We also met with our real world students and I am excited to help them all achieve new levels of English language comprehension.
Advice so far:
JUST KEEP BREATHING. And keep an eye on the trainers/tutors - they're teaching in the style we are learning!
